Please take some time to read through our latest newsletter:

This edition of our newsletter outlines the latest government guidance as well as news from the first weeks back for students at the academy.

An important announcement about students wearing face coverings in communal areas (not classrooms) from Tuesday 15th September is also featured:

In a special edition of the JQA Newsletter, we outline the full arrangements and plans for students returning to JQA from Thursday 3rd September:

Parents, Carers & Students,

We hope you are all keeping safe and well during these most try- ing of times. In these weekly e-newsletters, we will be keeping you informed with all of the developments and news at Jewellery Quarter Academy during the lockdown period and as we eventually start to re-open school.

As always, if you wish to contact the Academy, please email  [email protected] and a member of our team will respond.

Our phone number is 0121 729 7220 and is available from 8:00am until 3:00pm. Please stay safe and we hope to see you all very soon.

Welcoming students back

We are very excited to welcome all students safely back to the academy from Thursday 3rd September 2020. We are currently finalising our plans and will communicate these via letter on the app and a special edition of the newsletter which will be published on Friday 28th August 2020. It has been great to hear so much positive feedback around the changes we are putting in place to ensure students and staff are safe and we would like to remind you of the opportunity to express this via the CORE parent/carer survey here.

Thank you to the many parents/carers who also completed our recent ‘travel survey’ on the app. We have used this information and also worked with City/Central Academy to ensure we have different start and end times to the academy day to limit the impact on public transport for our communities. We will share our full plans and arrangements for the return to JQA shortly along with any additional risk assessments and it is important to discuss these with your child and ensure your child is ready to  start on 3rd September with the right equipment and uniform. We hope you have a restful and safe summer and we look for- ward to seeing your child in September.
